lc4 400 1998?

Hi
I have just aquired an LC4 400. Its registered as a 1998 but is the white model with blue seat.Its seems that it is a kick only also. Am I right in thinking that the post 1998 models were electric start making mine an earlier model?

Also, need a seat cover but I cant find any suppliers for this model. Anyopne know wher I might get one

Welcome to the forum! I guess someone will be along shortly to advise you on the seatcover. I check mag ads for parts and accessories.MotoSport.com has worked well for me,and also Chapparal.On older KTMs,often one has to look to a KTM dealer for parts.My closest KTM dealer is about to go out of buisiness, due to the great job our government is doing with the economy.I will now have to use a dealer nearly 2 hours away! The KTM400EXC is a good bike,heck they ALL are! Alot of folks are seeking the model out. I know where there is a 2004 model with 120 miles on it, by the original adult owner.If anyone reads this,and is interested,PM me.Good luck with yours,Andy , and send a pic with your new seatcover installed !

Look at this web page about 21 items down. It's not a blue seat cover but, still it would work.
