650 ks in oneday - the pseudo desert of Oz

One for the more advanced riders, but nevertheless another great loop to ride if heading to Australia and staying in Sydney.

You need to be fairly fit to take on 650 kilometres of freeway, tar, sand and single trail in one day. Yet another great ride for a KTM640 Adventure. However I'm not sure if I would take on the sand section of this ride on a 990, but some would no doubt be up to it.

We were in the saddle from 5.30am in the morning until about 9 at night. Funny thing, both of us crashed in single trail around the 500 k mark. By that stage neither of us were at our peak. That said, it made me reflect on the efforts of our Paris to Dakar peers. Fortunately we captured my little off on video.
