Default 03 640 Adventure Questions

I have recently picked up an 03 640 Adv. I have pulled the motor because the previous owner ran it out of oil and scored the bore.

The question I have is this;

the bike is bone stock, is there any thing that I should do to or check on this motor while it is out? Is there any upgrades that should be performed now?

Any help would be appreciated.

Yes she is, I never even got a chance to ride her. I started her on hot start and road her up and down the street to check the gears but that was about it. I used to own an 03 dakar and road it extensively off road. I understand this bike will be better off road in all respects so I am looking forward to slinging some mudd.

I just want to do do all the work, if possible at once. I have loste enough of this riding season.

Thanks for your input, I will check out the thread. I posted a question there as well but recieved no answer...
