EXC ODO Reset by itself?

Hey guys,

The odometer on my EXC 300 '04, just reset itself to 0 hrs and 0 kms the other day.

It may have happened after I came off on a dirt road doing 7o kmh or so - the impact wasn't that great. On the bike at least

No idea if these things have a battery in them or not ..or if if I replace the battery it will go back to the old settings.


Any ideas?

Never heard of that and no a new battery ain't gonna solve your dilemma. I wish I had that problem on my 04 450EXC

Look at it this way, you now have a new bike!

They do have a battery, but the main odometer data is saved on
a chip that does not require battery power.

Battery is just for the trip odometer.
