Default Which KTM Enduro Street Legal is best 530 or 430??

I am looking to get rid of my DRZ and get a used KTM street Legal Enduro used mostly for desert riding here in Vegas. Cant afford new but looking for one of the 2007 models I think 530 or 430 cc. I want it as close to full motocross bike as possible but needs to be street legal. Any help?

Those bikes are almost the same bike with a different stroke.

I had the 450, and used it on pavement to get to some trails.

No problem running at 60 MPH for 10-20 miles.

If you are going from a DRZ 400, I'd get the 450. It will be a
HUGE difference from the DRZ.

That being said I would also like to ride it on some motocross tracks so if there any weight difference? I have been riding for years just got a DRZ cause thought it would be enough for my needs but it is not, way to heavy and not enough power. The street riding isnt too much like you said just to get to a trail. Does the 430/450 have enough power, compared to 530? I want trails fast desert terrain and motocross track. Basically dont want to get another bike after this one ......I say that now but haha, I thank your info if you could give a tad more much appreciated......Lance

The 530 EXC claimed dry weight is 271.2 lbs.
The 450 EXC claimed dry weight is 250 lbs.
20 lbs might not be a big thing, but from what I
have been reading, the 530 only produces about 5-8 horsepower more.

I had my '03 on the track a few times, but nothing
major (no triples or crazy stuff), and it handled fine.

The 450 had PLENTY of power. The newer ones with the
DOHC engines even make more power than mine.

I am 6'2" 200 lbs, and my '03 450 was great in the desert or
trail riding.

Good luck on what ever you decide on.

I started riding longer dual sport rides, and the 1 liter oil capacity
in the RFS just made me nervous. It really is not set up for
super long highway speeds. My LC4 is a pig, but I can do
Baja on it, and do ride it to work.

I ended up getting a great deal my Berg, so I use that for
tight single track riding since it's not street legal.
