Just thought I might share a bad experience story with you, so that
others may not repeat the same mistake.
A good riding buddy of mine did not have a truck or trailer to get
his bike out to the ride they did yesterday in our local foothills.
He stuck his 2003 RM 250 into the back of his buddy's 1979 Cherokee.
So the bike went in with the throttle side toward the floor, and they
pushed the bike in to get the tail gate closed. The bike in at an angle.
The got to the riding area, and they pulled the bike out.
So, everyone gears up.
He turns on fuel, kicks and...
The bike goes LINEAR, wide open throttle. Kill button did not
help apparently.
In desperation, he puts it in gear and digs a 6' X 3" trench, until
the bike dies.
Piston is seized. Thankfully the lower end is okay.
Dohhhhhhhh.........
