Default Carb Mix Adjuster Mod

I took out my adjusre screw and treaded the end with the slot in it, got a 3/16 binding post from Home Depot, part 43911, (about $1.49) Cut the binding post off at or before the hollow threaded hole ends so you have a treaded tube about a half an inch long. Also a Home Depot I picked up a six count bag of #8-32 x 5/8 round head combo Machine screws in brass, (also about $1.49).
To finish up the mod I chose a med small Lego gear and treaded the brass srew though it into the treaded tube and on onto the adjuster screw treads, painted it metal-flake red and screwed it back into it place. Looks cool and works much better that trying to adjust the mix without.
Pobably isn't any better than the T screw replacement sold, but cost very little and I made it myself in a Jiffy, that works for me, plus I got to use my Legos. I love Legos

Can you post up some pictures of this? IS it on a 2 stroke or 4 stroke adjuster?

Default mix adjust

It is on my 625 SMC LC4 Keihin carb, works Ok with both forfingers from the left side, I think the T shaped one would be harder due to the tight space, I'm happy with this and it cost very little.
You do need a die set for this though.

OK, that makes more sense, as the binding post has female threads. Great idea! Time to raid my son's Legos!
