sx 250 2003 wont start?

well to start i have a ktm sx 250 as a dune buggy, i put it away for most of the winter under a tarp and now that the snow is melting i wernt to go ryde it and it has zero spark. i check all connections for dirt water ect.. nothing, changed the plug wire , plug cap and plug still nothing. is it common for the coil to jus give like that? and wires going to the carb whata that all about? could it be bad cdi unit?
any help or suggestions are needed
