So I am in the market for a 13 to 15 RC8R. What are the burn spots on the belly fairing. I'm guessing it's from the exhaust.

Yes it's from the exhaust I'm in the process of working out a remedy tho. Took it to the dealer and they had an identical bike, same exhaust, same tune. But his didn't have any burns. Only difference mine was heat wrapped. They think the heat wrap held the heat in and caused it to burn like that. So I took it off and gonna see if that's what it was.

I've seen that a couple of times with the ones running the Akrapovic on it. I didn't know if it was a fitment issue or what.

We all think it's the heat tape, if not I bought something that Yamaha uses on their 4 wheelers to prevent exhaust from burning plastics

Sorry to keep asking but I'm in Alabama so I can't just drive across town to see it. I see you have a sprocket that is not installed. Is the stock one on the bike? Also who did your Tuning? That is something that has always worried me. I've read some stories on the site about tuning gone wrong.

The sprocket is installed I went from 37 teeth in the rear to 40 teeth.

It was tuned by Tejas Motorsports (Certified KTM dealer) in Highlands, Texas
