re: KTM 690 Duke r and 173cm length

Hi

i am considering buying a KTM 690 Duke R, the only problem is that here in Malta, the dealer will not stock them and i cannot try one for size, to check whether i am too short for this bike.

is there anybody whose height is close to mine that can give me advice whether this bike will fit me please?

P.S. the seat height is 865cm on this 690 duke r

If you are just riding around you'll be fine but if you are going to use the bike for commuting / city use I think you'll struggle as it is a tall bike. i am 183 and the bike is just right for me but getting my leg over the bike takes quite an effort. My friend is about your height and he can ride it but he wouldn't want to use it in traffic where he is required to put his feet down very often.

Here in Malta we are stuck in traffic almost all the time. So that would be a problem for me

Check out the Hypermotard 796 - i think they are a little lower.
