Default duke 690 mods ?

i just bought a brand new duke 690.
i am very happy with the bike, i thing its the best bike i ever had.
i am just thinking if there are some kind of mods i can do to make it even faster without changing the stock exhaust.i dont want to have more noise.
i read other posts in this forum talking about air box opening , gear restrictor disconect even a wire mod on a duke .
how you did that?
can you give more information about ?
i am also thinking to change the front spocket to one teeth smaller.
anyone try it ?
sorry for my bad english,
nick

Hi Niko,

Countersprocket tooth bigger means less RPMs. Rear sprocket smaller
means less RPMs.

BTW. Your English is fine!

thank you.
i already changed the front to 15 teeth (had one from my lc4 640) and feels ok . i mostly ride in the city and seems the right one for the use.the city i live is fool of hills , its hard to find a straigth road.its a supermoto paradise ...
i will take off the snorkel this weekend and then i will do the wiring mod to the gearing restrictor.
if all that works i dont think i will ever change anything else.
maybe try a k&n air filter later but nothing more.
i feel the bike is already great and if it get be a little better with its cheap mods there is no reason to try for more.

I read on ADVrider that some people had a problem with too much oil
on their K&N filters. Be careful not to over oil them, as it can cause
sensor issues.

i dont find a reason to put much oil on a street bikes filter.
if its paper-made and put oil , its the biggest mistake you can do.
i say that because the filter on duke 690 is paper-made and i thing k&n filter for it is also the same material .

The KNN filter definitely isn't paper...it's like any other K&N filter and needs oiling. The standard filter is paper though, and shouldn't be oiled.
