Default Evap Canister Removal Question ?

Anybody know how the plastic evap canister is secured in the tool roll tray on a 680 Duke ? Is it screwed, bolted glued, or what ? I don't need technical info about resistors, etc. ------just how do I get the damn box out without breaking something ? Thanks.................

It's bolted in from the underside. You'll have to pretty much disassemble the entire tail section to get it out without breaking anything.

I posed the same question over on ADV Rider and got the same answer. I'll wait til I get the Fender removal/plate relocation kit and take ithe canister out then while I have the ***-end of the bike apart. Thanks for the info.....

The 690 thread on ADV Rider has a ton of tech info

Yeah, when I began to remove mine, I thought it'd be a ten minute project, max. It ended up taking close to an hour just to remove the thing.

I, too, waited to do this until I got my fender eliminator because I didn't see an easy way to remove the canister. I also did some wiring modifications while I had the back end apart.
