Default duke 690 Charging Voltage

my newly replace battery (4 months) is giving me some problem now. for pass 2 days in the morning I have difficulty to stat the engine, when I press the ignition button it make some kek kek sound .. but after few try it manage to startup and going good for most of the day until .. i leave the engine off for about 12 hours.

I am troubleshooting the problem and I need to know the correct Charging Voltage to isolate the problem.

I dont have the workshop manual with me so ... if any 1 have the workshop manual can you please help me to look up the Charging Voltage please.

I had the same problem with my 2009 model. It ended up that the compression release spring was not attached to the compression release. It was many trips before the dealer determined this issue, even though I suggested that the compression release might be the issue from the start (I'm not a mechanic). The kek kek sound I heard was the starter going out because it was not designed to turn over the engine under full compression.

In the end, KTM redesigned the spring to a heavier spring (they determined there was a problem) and they replaced it on my 690. Also it burned out the starter due to the high compression, that was replaced as well.

This may or may not be your issue but it sounds like it.

If I remember correctly it was something like 14.3 or in that area. I had so many problems with my bike that I sold it and moved to Ducati. I haven't owned my Duke since 2009.

But don't let that discourage you, lots and lots of ppl have good luck with them, it just wasn't me.
