alternative oil?

Did the first oil change this weekend. Stealerships sells the oil for my duke 30$ a liter. And it's not even the recommended motorex oil (the brand is "Gulf")
End up costing me more then 100$ for my oil change and i did it myself.

Of course i looked into getting some motul but they don't offer the 10w-60. The closest thing they have is 15w-50. But the thing is affordable at least (12-14$/Liter)

You guys have any solutions/alternatives?

Yeah i saw that thread... But i was wondering if someone had come up with another option. The price is not a bigbig concern, it's just that i never heard about that brand of oil

if you mean you never heard about motorex ... it mean you never own a EU bike before

Do some shopping around online for the Motorex. I found the 10-60 for $16ish per liter and $15 for both filters.
I'm sure it can be found cheaper but I'm picky about the vendors I use.

Also I did a search and didn't find much about the Amsoil SAE60. It's significantly cheaper and readily available (to me anyway). Any thoughts???

you can try elf 10w/60

i just found out after emailing my local motorcycle website that Motul 10W-60 does exist and he stocks it at 15$/L. He's located in montreal and ships for free.
He also just stocked up on Motorex oil.

Just since this topic has come up a few times regarding
KTM "required" oil, my LC4 came with a
"USE SHELL 20W-50 SYNTHETIC OIL XXXX".

I was worried about the warranty, so I found it
some where, but it was almost $14 US/L.

After that first oil change, I found Redline synthetic, and
12000 miles later, no engine issues what so ever.
Plus it was half the cost, and available about 5 minutes from
my home.
