Thumbs down Fuel reserve warning failed to show up

Hi!

Ran fuel tank completely dry at some 240km without any warning. And exactly then a Police car was pulling up. Only asked if I´m okay but quite embarrasing. Had to lead the duke to closest gas station, about 200m. No real harm after all. And bike is quite new, only two months.

But, what is wrong? Is it the tank sensor (already)? Or are the welding/connectors sensitive to shaking. Or is it the level out tube under the tank?

Found this: "Dealer talked to KTM who told them to check the tubes that run between the bottom of the tank to level out the fuel because they vapor lock. Dealer opened up the tubes and released the vapor lock and the low fuel light was back up and running."

Does someone knows how to deal with these "tubes"? They seem to have snap connectors to detach, but will fuel be pouring right out?

Problem is that when replacing the tank sensor you will be fiddling with the level out tubes anyway so you might not know if the sensor was really defect in the first place. Might want to try the tubes first.

OK, so looked this up on a german site.

It looks like one of the two valves under the tank where the level out fuel hose/tube are connected was closed. So I just opened it. That should do the trick, I think.
