Default Duke 690 Loves the Cold Air!

I have been riding to work on a few of these chilly Feb mornings 30-40 degrees, this engine absolutely is packed with power in the cold dense air. Its so responsive and full of grunt. WOW. Love this motorcycle! (all stock so far BTW)

I have only had mine a couple of months and agree that for a single it really moves out. But does this mean in summer it will be gutless?

Any air pump (combustion engine) will run better in cooler denser air because the compressed mixture contains more fuel and oxygen, thus more power when exploding. (although your mileage will suffer as more fuel is dumped in when the FI system senses more air mass) I would have to say the when its really hot and humid in the summer you may notice a little power loss, but that is true for most engines sucking in heated air and less air mass. THis bike still hauls anytime of year.
