My first thought when I read the first post was bad gas. Or, gas that went bad or collected moisture.

I would completely drain the tank and fill it with some fresh premium and run it a bit before anything else

I used it the next day for going to work. Struggled to get it started first thing in the morning (probably from water settling out overnight with the rain), then worked fine all day to school and home. I'm pretty sure its the water in the tank now.

If you are anyplace with slight flooding it would be easy to get bad gas from the pumps also. Happens all the time in NY.
