When John Lennon was shot a man standing outside the Dakota had this to say and said it with such passion that I have never forgotten his words:
"...We've realized we are growing up and we are big people now and the people we looked up to are dying. It's not like Elvis or even JFK. This is the end of an era!"
Every death is an epoch and every loss a reminder that we are cursed and blessed with the knowledge or our own mortality.
