I picked up this Duke a few months back when I was out looking for a sport bike. I had previously owned two Yamaha R6 but also rode mini motards on Karting tracks, Motocross and Hare Scrambles. I decided to stop into the KTM dealer and I sat on the Duke 690. It felt like all those bikes rolled into one. I checked out the Ducati dealer afterwards and sat on the Monster, but it was a clear choice to get the Duke. I immediately broke it in then took it to the track. It was my first Track Day ever and I had an absolute blast! It's just as fast as any sport bike in the corners so I was never in the way, however the straights is where I got passed at 200mph when I was going 105mph. I didn't mind though, because that meant there was no one to block the corners when I was going in hot. I've gone on a few group rides and have had no problems keeping up with the liter bikes. This is the funnest bike! Wish there were more toys to put on it.
