Default New RC8R Akrapovic 23 of 25

I bought my 2010 RC8R a couple of weeks ago. I installed the Akrapovic EVO 4 exhaust and remapped with Tune ECU. Love the bike, will get to the track with her soon. What a great toy.

Default Sweet !

I have come across a 2010 Red Bull Edition with club race kit, looking to install only the Akra exhaust/headers, intake filter and maybe SLS removal (not interested in taking the motor apart for other kit contents). You mentioned you used Tune ECU, any details on this as I am looking at a Bazzaz ZFi and AFM self mapping system.

Thanks,
DP

TuneECU is free software, you need a cable, I got mine at Dual Sport Warehouse. The cable cost me $70.00, I used one of the maps they had, and I did the deed in 10 min, plus I disabled the O2 sensors, and the SAI as well.

Easy hookup to your lap top and you can adjust several items on the bike.

Would this work on the 2011 RC8R as well? Does this basically take the need for a power commander away? Will it void the warranty?

I am pretty sure it will work, it just might take time to find a map for a 2011 bike. Yes it takes the place of a PCV or PCIIIusb as there isn't one for the RC8R.

I have #18 akrapovic and love it also. I did the full kit plus a 41 rear sprocket and rizoma pegs and grips stock ones just didn't suit but the bike is dream to ride

I installed the KTM Power Parts pegs, love them. The grips I like. The bike I love, trying to save it mostly for the track, so the Super Duke gets lots of road miles.
