Default 2011 Parts and Mods?

Ok, I have been looking all over the place to start making my 2011 KTM RC8R mine. I cant seem to find anyone who is selling an exhaust for it. Everyone is still stuck on the 2010's. I think I want to get the FMF Apex, along with some other stuff. I am not all to familiar with all the other years, and what will fit the 11 and 10.

Also has anyone came up with any mods to the RC8R yet? I have seen things like the 02 sensors on ebay, but not sure on where to start, other than pipe, PC5, and Tidy tail. Any info is greatly appreciated.

HMC racing has been selling akra systems on ebay. they routinely get sold at about $2400

2010/11 are the same body and exhaust wise.

there is a tail tidy (maybe a different brand) for the rc8.

check out bazzaz they make an 'interceptor' type ECU. you can buy wideband O2 and speed shift variants.

They have a lot of information on the UK KTM forum, also on Superduke.net, regarding TuneECU. Great software, worth the effort, I use it for my RC8R and my Super Duke. Nice stuff.

I hooked up tuneECE to my 2011. it gave me an error 'can't read map'.

I didn't have time to mess with it since I can't find a US map for akras.

US map is only for emissions. I loaded the EVO 4 with 98 RON map, it works great with the BMC filter and EVO 4. I also deleted the O2 sensors and the SAI.

Sweet, more 2011 owners.

Can anyone tell me about quick shift option in the menu? There is alot about this machine that I am still trying to figure out. This is obviously my first KTM street bike. Any other good tips/tricks would be awesome.

I am planning on getting the FMF Apex exhaust for mine. I am in the Military and getting stationed in Europe, so I am going to see about getting the Euro map or ECU for it as well, then tuning her in. What do you think?

95RON (91 AKI) is the highest we have here unless I mix in race gas (100 AKI)

I hope to buy a KTM soon. but i was in love with the 2010 scheme over the 2011. so i was wondering if anyone knew if the kitment of the tail thats all white, and bottom white area could swap and fit on the 2011 model

Yes, they're a direct swap.

Thanks a lot for that info. I think with the new styling colors mixed with the white accents would make this bike look so sick. The black and orange is already crazy. But this would just put it over the top. Thanks again BOB
