Default Finally got the Red Bull on the track ...

June 1, 2011. Decided to bring my personal RC8R so the KTM techs could help with suspension setup. First time with bike on track and first time at this track.

Bike is new, recently installed full Akra exhaust, SAS removal and high flow air filter. Bazzaz ZF-i and AFM with Dyno tune the week previous (DynoJet with 15% brake 156HP at rear wheel on pump gas).

Guys at Mid-Ohio are great ! Had a blast

Nice video. Looks like you were real smooth on the track.

Have the mods that you've done smoothed out any of the low RPM abruptness of the throttle? My only complaint about my 2010 RC8R.

Default Thanks man...

I think the tuning did help a bit, especially recalibrating the TPS with Bazzaz. I plan on adjusting the throttle tube slop a bit tighter as well if not replace with a different cam throttle tube. Other than that I plan to stay above 4K RPM at all times once I become more comfortable with her. ;-)

Cheers,
DP

True. It does run much less twitchy above 4k, but there are many times in traffic where that's not realistic for me. These bikes just don't like to go slow!

Put about 100 miles on mine this morning. Pure bliss.
