Low Gas light on

HI Guys,
need some help here.

so i took the bike out last night for a quick spin ran low on the gas so the light came on the dash. so i filled up the bike and the dang light wont go off now.

the display still shows low gas but it filled it up. the book says to hold down the mode button for 3 to 5 seconds and it should go away.

am i doing something wrong here????
i have it on the race mode currently.

setting to 60 seconds fixed it.
