Default Dang. Sure is quiet in here...

C'mon North America! I know there must be more RC8 owners in these parts. Like most of you (I'm guessing), I frequent the UK RC8 forum. Interesting bunch of lads over there, but we need to get our own thing going.

So, step up! I need some entertainment!

I'll try to keep you entertained Bob ;-) Just finished the Pit Bull track bike project, new pics posted here:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/6275597...7627202652109/

Also completed the Bazzaz traction control and quickshifter install. Tested the quickshifter the other day, AMAZING! I can not believe how smooth, hardly a 50ms blip between shifts, just peg the throttle and shift ... no clutch, no throttle blip, just fast and smooth acceleration through the gear range!

Took another trip to KTM race orange at MidOhio last week, awesome day ! I'll have some HD onboard video posted soon (no did not have the Pit Bull ready for the track that day), took one of the factory spec 2011 RC8R's with the new race spec Dunlops, they did very well, I was impressed with the Dunlops considering I have a set of the Pirelli SuperCorsa's that have proven quite sticky ... so sticky I dragged my right foot peg in the high position on turn 9 at MidOhio.

Will be showing the bike at the upcoming www.waynecountycarshow.com

Cheers,
David

Great job on the 8, David. Are you riding it strictly on the track? If so, what's your street machine?

After my Alaska trip I got the bug for an adventure-tourer, so when I got back I bought a used KLR 650. Now there are 4 bikes in the garage. I might be featured on the TV show "Hoarders".

Yes. I can't go anywhere without people stopping to look and ask questions about it. Hands down the most intriguing motorcycle most people have seen (including me).

Now I just need to grow the cahones that njythrde has that are required to take it to the track!

Congrats! Awesome bike.

Too bad your riding season is rapidly drawing to a close. Tell me that you will at least let it sleep in the living room until the ice thaws.

Well, it won't be in the living room (the wife does have a few rules I gotta follow), but it will either be in the heated garage or downstairs.

Great bike, lots of fun, turns heads everywhere and I don't think there is another one in Saskatchewan. The cops sure seem to love me too now. Had it out twice and stopped once already. Just wanted to check it out and he ended up taking a picture of it with his iPhone. Pretty funny.

Awesome. Glad you're enjoying the bike and welcome to our very limited numbers.
