Computer / EFI error in on position ...
... recently installed the Bazzaz fuel controller with AFM, quick shift and traction control. After a few start cycles, when I switch ignition to the ON position, the service attention indicator light (yellow exclamation point) would flash about 5 times while the EFI red light stayed on for about 2 seconds, then the screen would show the following text instead of going through the startup testing cycle:
V2.1 ???????
loading ????
The questions marks did not appear, I just can't remember what it read exactly and I can't duplicate it now, go figure.
The bike seemed to run OK, so I went back home from the gas station about 3 miles away and the computer screen suddenly went through it's initial diagnostic screen sequence while I was riding and the tac, speedo and all functions began working properly.
Anyone have an idea if this is a Bazzaz issue or something wrong with the bikes OEM electronics?
