Default new 2010 RC8 and a problem

Hey everyone! I just purchased a brand new demo 2010 RC8 and I really love this bike all over! I tuned the chassis to my liking already and plan on getting suspension tuning done very soon. I do have 1 issue i need to figure out. My rear turn signals are very dim and you can barely see them come on. I had to put my eye on it to see that they are coming on. KTM installed the fender eliminator kit on this bike before my dealer picked it up from them. I used a test light and checked the main harness. The test light blinks no problem. I also tested the connecting harness that runs to the fender eliminator wires and it lights up too. I also tested the wires off the fender going into the lights and they check good too. I was testing all of this off the battery power (bike not running). All my wire connections are solid. My dealer is 1 hour away from me and they are willing to help me out. I just dont have the time to take at trip back up there and wait for a fix.

The front turn signals work fine and the rear lamp lights up no problem.

may-be you have a turn signal defect.... if the test light work fine, dont search more. Do you try the test light and the turn signal at the same time?

yes the test light flashes with the turn signal relay when i touch the connections. i ran the rear lights again (its dark out). the lights do light up at night but its very faint/dim. it almost seems like its not getting enough power. it happens to both lights so i cant really say that its a defective light.

The fender eliminator kit with the smaller bullet style blinkers look good but are useless if you use the blinkers. My mate did this on his bike, during daylight hours I can barely make out his blinkers flashing. He has had auto elecs look at it and install resistors and other bits but nothing works. Pretty sure its something to do with the LEDs as later generations of LEDs are brighter. No easy fix that I know of sorry.

im going to tinker with it some more today. the dealer says they work before they sold it to me. im sure some dealers will just say that even if they didnt check. it just seems like a power consumption issue because the light is very faint. i havent located this particular eliminator online. it plugs perfectly into the factory harness and no hack job was done. im going to crank the bike up and take some multimeter readings.

well i cranked the bike up and took readings. i can see the voltage go up and down on the wires. it will climb up to about 7 volts and climb back down (hence the blinking). everything seems fine. i just dont get why the lights are not flashing at all? do i need a resistor or something?

i took the fender eliminator kit off tonight. i took my battery tender out to test the lights. i stuck the tender on 6v and connected the positive and negative terminals up to the wires. the LEDs light up no problem. i think i have a bad ground somewhere but i dont know where to look.
