I'd say if you part out the bike, you might net ~ $1200.
If you can find a wrecked 640e or 640 adventure, and can get the engine
and wiring harness for $1000 or less, it might be worth it. I guess the only
thing is how much is your time worth, and do you like turning wrenches.
Here is the same exact bike as mine for sale. This guy has lowered
his original price twice now. He started at $5k, then $4K, now....
It's pretty much a buyers marked.

Last thing, remember the SXC does not keep oil in the frame when you look for engines.
