Oil level mystery

Oil level reading very low when hot, so I changed the oil and filters (thought maybe they where dirty and cloged or somethin), bled it by the book, even looked at Bajadog's post again to make sure, but its still reading low when hot. Whats causing this and where do I look next to solve the problem.
I am afraid to ride it knowing somethins wrong. Baja, bet you know.
The things got only 4800 miles but sat for a few years up until 4 mounth ago.
Came from Santa fe, rejeted for here, Miami.
