The frame is looking really good mate. I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between that and a powder coated one.

Cheers, thanks mate. Come out a good colour to, not matt black and not to glossy. It looks like a metal frame finish rather than looking like a car panel. Have to see how durable it will be, It's acrylic.

The only place the frame really gets a beating is underneath, a bash plate will sort that out. Acrylic paint should be fine, just give it plenty of time to dry.

Engine painted

I actually painted the engine a couple days ago, but taped it up to do my orange lettering and I muffed it. The engine enamel didn't adhere to the clutch cover and when I removed the tape the paint come with it
I just touched it up, but it looks like crap, but I'm going to leave it then run the risk of buggering a clutch cover gasket to remove it and fix it.
Anyway here it is.

That looks spot on mate. To me I can't really see any damage to the paint however that might just be the photo.

pro-x swing arm bearings. Not the greatest fitment.

Patiently waiting on my new subframe from Austria.
Has given me a lot of time to check things and replace gear. My swing arm bearings were not shot, but not the greatest. I ordered a pro-x kit. I am usually impressed with pro-x gear. The bearing side of it is good, but the spacers not the greatest. If I pinch the swing arm bolt up as hard as it goes, to the point of it flexing the frame in, it still doesn't pinch the swarm bearing inner rings up, leaving a gap in between the engine and frame, a fair gap to, nearly .5mm both sides. So I guess I will have to fit a couple shim washers in there which is a pain in the a*se trying to hold washers there while lining the swing arm up and trying to push the bolt through. The pro-x kit had some spacers in it, but way to big for the swing arm bolt, more likely spacers to put in between the 2 needle roller bearings.
Don't know if anyone else has fitted pro-x ones, but this is just what I found.

Subframe is here!

It took 3 or 4 months, but it is finally here. My brand new subframe from Austria. I hope I don't loop it again and snap this one.
Now I can finally put this thing back together. I actually found a picture of when I first bought the bike as wreck. It looks totally different now. I will also post one up when it's all assembled as well. Might be a while as paying jobs come first.

It does look good, but I have painted it now and I wont be changing it until I need to pull the donk out again.
I have orange tank and orange guards so I was thinking black frame to break up the orange.
