Default Valve clearance question..opinions?

Hi. I've got 4hr's on my 09' 250 XCF-W and checked the valves. I'm right at the upper end of spec on both exhaust and intake. From what I've read, seems like most people end up on the low end of spec. Is this normal? What is the difference between being on the upper and lower end of spec? Should I continue to ride and monitor or shim and get'er in spec? Thx/Mike

I am not as familiar with OHC bikes, but
on my old RFS and my LC4 bikes, I'd did not
have to mess with the valve clearance until
~8-10 hours.
Typically, the exhaust valves tend to get tighter first.

I'd hold off myself, unless you are having trouble starting
the bike.

Maybe someone with more experience with OHC bikes will chime in.
