Default 450exc

Hi
I have been offered a 450EXC with no wheel or engine. The engine has been used for a kart. Its very cheap so I'll probably buy it.
The seller says that its only the engine and wheels that are missing, but are there any other items that I need to check are there.. eg, control units, ignition etc

Thanks
Andy

Oh and anyone got a spare 450 engine?

Welcome.

Rims and axles are fairly cheap on ebay.

What year is the bike?

Just found this on ebay, is this the engine from your bike?

Hi Bajadog
Im not sure of the year yet, seeing it tomorrow.

I reckon thats the engine. If thats the kind of money they go for , after I've bought carb, cdi, coil maybe more, its not really worth it

Andy,

That is unfortunately that is why parting out a bike is a lot of work,
but in the long run you make 3X more than you would selling complete.

Still might buy the bike and part it out on ebay depending on the shape.

Forks sell for $300+, and swing arms the same.
