Graphics/Exhaust issues (450 sxf) HELP!

Hey ya'll first post here from the canadian.. so im kinda new to these pumpkins. Just picked up my 08 450 at the end of last season.. love the bike had a couple issues.. fork seals went first lap.. but thats the dumbass i got it from fault.

Just taking the decals off to get the new kit on there before race season and i noticed that on the tank shrouds its an extremely tough vinyl that is almost inlayed in the plastics... Wondering if anyones got any good tips to get the buggers off???

Second problem....

Slapped on the new can today.. the carbon fmf.. havent got the megabomb in yet so i put on the stock header until then.. But when i fired up the bike got some flames coming out of it. literally... i dont know if this is an engine issue since its been in the garage all winter or this is a problem with fresh packing in the new muffler. And its smelling a little bit sweet too.. almost like a little bit of rad smell to it.

Use a hair dryer or heat gun to soften up those decals. If you do use
a heat gun low setting only.

i bought a 2011 450 sxf a couple months ago and before i rode it i was rapping the throttle in my shop and flames was comming out of the silencer also. ive only rode the bike once thanks to the weather here in the pacfic n.w. it may be running rich, dont really know but it ran fine. im going to washougal mx this weekend if it dont rain. i think the flames is a jetting issue but its just a guess. good luck....

ya i think im gunna grab a jetting kit and see what i can do i just dont know what kind of settings to run it at....

Jd jet kit will fix everything specially after you throw a pipe on there. From stock I know my 560 smr had all sorts of issues until I put that jet kit in

+1 on the JD kit.

They also are great to call and ask for advice.
