Default help picking a new bike

looking to buy a new bike im 23 5'9 and 170 pounds.. had rm 80 kx 85 yz 125 and now a kfx 450 quad...(couldnt pass up the deal) wanting to buy a two stoke for hare scrambles thinking 150 xc or 200 xc-w ..i like the 200 cause its more set up for woods but afraid it will be too much bike for me ..any suggestions
also can some one explain the difference between the 200 xc-w and the 200 exc??? thanks

XC-W is the cross country wide gear ratio bike, EXC would be a better choice for tight single track and scrambles. I would go with the 200 over the 150 and ride it on the soft setting until you are ready for race mode.
The 200 will keep you happy for many years, especially if you like woods riding.
I'd get the E start model as well, it's just so nice to have and I doubt you will notice the 10lbs on a 200 anyhow.

Default ask if they have had any issues on the e-start

The e-start is a great option, if they work..read my article under"2strokes"....my bike is 2010 XCW_E 300 with 14.8 hrs and the starter is junk. ask if they will stand behind you and your bike if the starter fails.

You are not alone...The 2010 starter issues are hit and miss. 2 of my friends with 300 have no issues while 2 of my friends with a 450 and 530 are having serious problems, and no, KTM is not going to bat for these guys.
They are fixing the rads though. Try a Trail Tech stator kit.
