Default alloy peices in gearbox oil 08 KTM 530

I have noticed shavings when changing the oil, but this time when changing the gearbox oil a few peices of an alloy part came out about 12mm long, you can tell it has a shape to it so it must be some sort of part.

I have religously changed the oil every ride and the bike has only done 3100 km's, All the dealers want to split the gearbox to find out where it has come from, but surely they must have some idea before they cost me heaps????has anyone noticed anything like this???????? Cant find anything on the web.

Default peices broke away 530 08

Thanks for your reply, i think we are on to something, i will attach a photo of where my case has broke away and this has probably gone through the gears which has shaped it into the shape it is.

Maybe there was a fault in the cast or moulds when they made these bikes?

Yep same as mine point less me posting pic up now lol looks exact same. I spoke to keesners ktm today and they said it is a stop for down shifting but I don't think it is becouse when I has looking at it last night I could go up and down gears with no problems and its down gearing that it would of broken it. But bike shop aside not to be to consernd of it becouse it dosnt look like it has been hitting it well I couldn't see any wear on the arm from hitting it. Going to have anouther look tonight I'm a apprentice desiel mechanic my dad is a desiel mechanic over 35 years he going to have a look at it aswell tonight but I'm going to flush gear box with. 2 ltrs of clean oil and see if I get any thing els come out from any were have you checked your primery gear that is one of the faults aswell they separate becouse there only pressed to gether but new one is pressed and welded. Oh the seal behind the primery gear aswell but most ppl no that one and rear hub was made to thin and crak easily I have had all the above happin I think I forgetting some thing els aswell
