My 2012 shipped with the mid range spring which is how the factory ships them. The "RED" spring will lower where the hit occurs by about 500 RPM meaning it will go beserk a little sooner. The other "Green" spring will mellow the hit and take about another 500 RPM from where it hits now. It all depends on your riding style. Do you want a mild mannered bike for trails or right now power for racing or something in between. You can also fine tune whatever spring is in there now with the adjusting screw on the PV spring housing cover. I've decided to keep the mid spring installed for now.
