Default stainless filter use and cleaning ?

I am considering the stainless oil filters 1 and 2 for my 525EXC motard setup. What experiences have we had and what methods for cleaning have been used. One concern and one caveat using the filtering capability (stainless/paper?), and the increased flow rate (more cooling?) ??? I also am considering if cleaning the filters will be an issue? How can you be sure that you are not getting contaminants into the motor after cleaning the filter with a rinse? I was considering getting a cheap ultrasonic cleaner or is there a better setup (back flow, Ect ) ??
Any feedback or discussion would be appreciated.
Scott.

It all depends on what you are looking for out of your filter and out of your machine.

The best stainless filters I have seen are 35 Micron. The human eye can see to about 40 Micron. Recommended cleaning is with a Sonic Cleaner and they are messy.

They do give a slight HP boost but not enough for a Butt Dyno to notice and they give it at the expense of engine wear.

I would stick with 3 filters. AMSOIL EA Series is 15 Micron Absolute. You can't buy a better filter. My Second choice is a WIX, third would be the Purolator ML Series and then Mobil 1.

The use of the Purolator Pure One is Not recommended in a Motorcycle application.

The Best isn't cheap
Cheap isn't The Best
