Default Motorex Power Synt 4T or Cross Power 4T

I had my dealer order me some 10W60 Motorex KTM Cross Power 4T, but ended up getting the Power Synt 4T instead.

These are different part numbers, and I am now to able source the correct KTM Cross Power 4T.

Should I return the Power Synt 4T or is it the same thing as the Cross Power 4T?

This is for my first 600mile oil change for a Duke 690.

Thanks!

wow, a very active forum I see ;-)

I've emailed motorex to find out. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has run into this. Even the dealer does not know what the Motorex Cross Power 4T is...even though its recommended in the manual

I'll post when I hear back from them

My dealer recommended the Crosspower 10w60 for my 990SMR, over the PS. He seemed to think it protected the top end better down here in Florida. Ive already done my first oil change and recently ordered another 4L to keep on hand for my next service.

My owners manual actually recommends the PS 10w50. I think both oils meet the requirements for your LC4. Be curious what Motorex tells you.

I'm new here and I just saw this post....

Motorex. Excellent oil choice. But it isn't necessary. Many quality oils out there. I like the ones with the "coolest" decal.

As for the two types of oil mentioned. They both are good choices and they both would protect your bike and provide adequate lubrication.

Mineral oil, Synth blend, full synthetic... They all work. Each one has its appropriate application. It doesn't hurt to go with the best ($$$)

For me.... I ride street pretty hard. I don't rev the **** out of my bikes. But I accelerate hard and loft the front (or rear) regularly. My mileage consists of lots of twisties or inner city riding (San Francisco). I use a Synthetic blend.

My track bike. Running between 8-15000 rpm on my Yamaha R4. Full Synthetic

My Supermoto and Enduro. Hard inner City riding. Lots of wheelies. Early morning raids into Golden Gate Park. Jumping intersections in North Beach and Potrero Districts in SF. Lots of improper behavior. Full Synthetic.

My vintage 2-Smoker Vespa. Not too picky. But I have been looking into the strawberry scented oil.
