I'm looking for a larger fuel tank for my 2002 EXC 400 and there are some made by IMS listed on fleabay.I want to make sure they are of high quality and won't crack the first time I fall.(Fall? Who's going to fall?) Does anyone have any experience with these tanks?
Thanks,
Greg
I did drop that bike more times than I care to admit.
Never cracked. Only issue I had was the first tank I bought
started a very slight leak at the petcock tank mating surface.
This was a week before a 5 day Mexico ride.:sweatdrop:
I tried tightening down on bolt, and the damn thing spun on me.
Turns out the metal threaded insert in the tank had not been
glued or installed right at the factory. They sent me a new
tank with no leaks 3 day air.
Clarke also makes good tanks from what friends say.
