RC8 Upgrades/Know How

I've been a looong time lurker here and have had my RC8R for almost two years. Life got in the way as I haven't done much to it. I finally got some money and time to throw at it now. I wanted to share my journey through some mods I have done and have planned. Pretty much everything RC8R specific that I know came from here! I appreciate everyone's contributions and hopefully can add some myself. If anyone has any questions or would like more details let me know.

What I've done so far:

Watsen Design front blinkers
http://www.watsendesign.com/Products/Universal_SP.htm
Note: He paints is to match. Had to wait 6 months for him to make (states clearly on his site) but so amazingly worth it. I did not have to use resistors.

Rizoma rear blinkers
https://www.motovationusa.com/rizoma...als-fr028.html
Note: Very bright and the lines match the bike well. They come with resistors for easy installation. Each blinker comes with two, I used one with each blinker.

R&G tail tidy
https://ktmtwins.com/collections/rc8...-rc8-tail-tidy
Note: Love the bracket and license plate bulb. The R&G blinkers are cheap and not bright.

CRF EXO LS bar end mirror

TechSpec snakeskin tank grip
https://ktmtwins.com/collections/rc8...nt=23669583811

OEM Tank Protector
(Purchased from KTM Twins but I don't see it on their site right now.)

OEM Swingarm Protector
https://ktmtwins.com/collections/rc8...protection-kit

AntiGravity battery
http://www.rottweilerperformance.com...tery-ytz10-12/
Note: The OEM battery terminal has the wire come in from the side. THis battery connects from the front. Minor tweaking required.

CRG RC2 levers

Sato frame and axle sliders

In progress:

Bazzaz Z-Fi fuel controller with AFM mapper

Jester exhaust

(Exhaust wrap: http://www.ebay.com/itm/TAN-EXHAUST-...pRwfkz&vxp=mtr)
(High temp silicone sprary: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/DEI-010302)

Rottweiler SAS Stage 3 removal
http://www.rottweilerperformance.com...kit-big-twins/
Notes: For full SAS removal the tail section needs to be removed. I had to remove the radiator for something else; with the radiator out removing the SAS components above the radiator is easy. This kit comes with one dongle to plug into the OEM wiring after removal. You'll have to remove the air box (which means throttle body) to install the throttle body sync hoses.

Rottweiler Crankcase Breather Blanking Kit
http://www.rottweilerperformance.com...r-intake-kits/
Notes: The kit does not come with a part to blank out the hole on the air box after the crank case breather hose is rerouted. This will have to be custom. I will be routing the hose up into the tail section and back down to above the front sprocket. I am not installing a catch can but this should eliminate oil from coming out.

Samco silicone hoses (orange)

Rottweiler intake
http://www.rottweilerperformance.com...ke-system-rc8/
http://www.rottweilerperformance.com/no-toil-oil-kit/

Rottweiler O2 sensor plugs
http://www.rottweilerperformance.com...ainless-steel/
Note: Inside the bung the hole in the header has to be grinded bigger to match the diameter of the threads to accommodate the length of the plug.

KTM Twins thermostat upgrade

Steering stabilizer rebuild (the sticky)

I'm all about the weight reduction... usually just go out naked but sometimes I'll wear the sandals.

It's been slow going since I only have a couple hours Mon - Thurs to do this... working on the SAS removal right now. Removing the canister, what a pain. But it's done! I took it slow due to my fear of messing up the OEM fairings, but it wasn't too bad.

My goal with this thread is to make it a one stop shop for people who are starting with a stock bike. This forums has so much information so I thought it'd be cool to put it all together in one place. I added links to my original list. The next thing I'll do as I do this work is add links to all the forums posts I used to be able to do all this. I figured I've done all this work so might as well take a little more time to make it easier for others.
