Just like the title says, Anyone near White Plains/Bronxville/Yonkers area that can help with TuneEcu?
I haven't been riding in the last two years due to an injury and have the bike partially disassembled. I already own and am planning on installing the Club Race Kit on my 2012 RC8R,
I just can't get TuneEcu to work for some reason.
I am willing to pay whatever is fair for the help,
I would suggest a different cable - had a similar issue with TuneECU on my old Triumph Daytona. New cable solved all. Make sure it's not a cheap Ebay knockoff, and get one from the vendors on the TuneECU site.
I did get a good cable from one of the venders on the site, only problem is that when I was installing TuneEcu on my laptop, I "updated" the drivers by mistake (I am using a Windows Vista computer, but I can install Windows 7 on it if necessary).
1) The question that I have now is did I "update" the drivers on the cable or on my computer?
2) I also have a Mac that is running BootCamp so I could have a Windows partition on that hard drive. I have Windows 7 on that hard drive but I heard that if you are going to go this route, you may have problems unless you are running Windows XP?
Any help would be great as the nearest KTM dealer is 2 hours from my house and going to them for a tune is not really an easy option.
Hi.
I've used TuneECU on my Mac (Bootcamp, Windows 7) on both my KTM and my old Triumph Daytona 675.
Try erasing the driver you updated, and installing the one from the TuneECU website.
Failing that, shell out the $15 and buy the Android version for your phone or tablet. That's what I use now, as it's easier size wise. No problems with it ever.
This is what the sub text looks like for easy reference:
Installation-related
Link to FTDI (D2XX) CDM DRIVERS
Installation of FrameWork 2.0 (XP only)
Run dotnetfx.exe and follow the instructions. Link to Microsoft download.
If you need to, remove any extra drivers from windows (or if all you use Bootcamp for is TuneECU, just reinstall the damn thing if it's easier).
Hopefully you can figure out what you need from the link above.
Tune Ecu has the maps... but what Tune ECU does not tell you is that you actually get 3 maps!
1) for baffle in 95 RON
2) Baffle out 98 RON
3) Baffle out 100 RON
