Its really true on all fronts of modern road use. In 5 years of owning and riding my bike i would have paid the same as original the purchase value, The faster bikes are in worse shape than that.

Sorry to hear man. Any chance you'd be willing to share what you're paying for the rc8, and other pertinent data such as age, tickets, etc?.

It was quite a jump for me, but I came from a speed triple so not apples to apples comparison

I got the bike when I was 21 I paid for the year and it averaged at $130/month

When I went to renew I was 22 and they told me $260

I turned 23 and it dropped to $230

I'll be 24 in April kinda curious to see if it'll drop any.

NO TICKETS IN PAST 4 YEARS!!!!

I was told they raised the price because the rc8r used to be classified as a sport touring then they changed it to a super sport

Ya that sucks for sure. Sorry to hear that man. I was discouraged before I bought mine but was able to find a good deal on insurance. Almost didn't buy because of it.

I am 42 years old with a clean driving record and of course I have my house and other vehicles on my insurance but I pay $488 for 12 months for my 2013 RC8R......so about $41 per Month?

At $130 per month that would be super painful..... yikes!

full coverage and my deductible is $250
