Parts Swapping

Does anyone have experience with KTM 2-stroke parts swapping from one type/size of bike to another? I have some questions that I'm pretty sure a dealership tech wouldn't answer.

I'm looking to use the 'newer' KTM 2-stroke liquid cooled line for land speed racing. I'm wondering if I can do these match-ups:

*50 jug on 65 crankcase = 50cc with 6-Speed
*125 jug on 65 crankcase = 100cc with 6-Speed

I'm manly looking at the 50/65 combo because that's the first one I want to build.

I don't think ANYBODY is going to be able to answer those questions. Will it bolt up? I seriously doubt it, but try it and see.

That being said, anything can be done with enough time, talent and money. Or mills, lathes and parts.


As the saying goes.....Speed cost money. How fast you wanna go?
