like the last guy stated the mini adv is not setup for washers however i had made my sons work pretty good with washers.
first thing you need to know is the clutch shoes are the same but the adv bolts and sleeves are shorter. so all those clutch stories you here will not work for you unless you change your bolts and sleeves to the longer senior type. if you just fill the space up with ()()()() until the shoes are kinda snug on the arbor it will work pretty good, shim for higher stall.
note: a mini adv will not pull a full blown race stack from a senior, the rpm will never get there. i went through all this our setup ended up at- lc pipe, 48/11 sproket, the 14mm main jet richened about 2 jets sizes.

Red face

sorry I am on the wrong thread I am new to the forum.. The rider for this bike is not racing and new to the bike. I believe he is just riding around the yard. My son is on a 50 and moving to a 65 next year after Loretta Lynn.

When we opent he clutch it already had washers in it. So someone has changed it out from what you were saying. Do you know of a less aggressive pattern for the washers? And how many should be in there. We are asking because 1 had 8 washers 2- had 7 washers and 3- had either 8 or 7 washers. The bike is a 2001

no worries.

my suggestion based on the experience of owning and kids racing both 50MA and 50SX is to just put the stock stuff/springs in the MA. Cheaper, easier and less headaches. It works fine.

Clean the airfilter, adjust/lube the chain, fill with clean gas, change the trans fluid with 8oz of ATF after every ride and be done with it.

The biggest improvement to the 50MA is to disconnect the oil injection and go premix. That really cleans them out and freshens them up. If you have been running the oil injection best bet is the silencer packing is saturated with oil. Change that while you are at it and it will seriously quiet it down.

Save your shim stack endeavors for the 50SX.
