Wink Newbie from NJ would appreciate any KTM insight

Newbie rider and newbie to KTM. I am considering purchasing a 2002 Duke 2 640 with the airbox, carb and y pipe mods- any tips on what to look out for? Thanks in advance.

I'd ask if the main transmission ball bearing has been
changed to the new roller bearing (2003).

Other than that, just look it over for obvious damage and leaks.

Does it start and idle fine?

Default Thanks Bajadog

I asked the seller about the roller bearing; he is unaware of the issue, but is contacting the original owner (a KTM service manager) to find out more info. The seller also told me he parks the bike in the same spot everyday and has not noticed any leaks. Also, do any of you ride 2 up on the Duke 2? My seller says he never has and that there are no passenger foot pegs. I am not going to base nmy decision to buy solely on this, but my wife did just buy a helmet and jacket. Realistically, she will probably only rode once or twice a year.
