SM WannaNewbe?

Hey KTMers!
First time poster/KTM poser/maybe buyer.
I test rode a SuperDuke last spring, and despite being herded like a new lamb (I ain't) really liked the experience.
Locally, a 950SM-R is available (and I'm tired of waiting for the 990SM-T to happen here), so I'm here to mine the collective wisdom to decide if I pull the Orange-trigger.
Currently ride a ZZ-R12 (that's a Kawasaki behemoth-rocket for you muddy Euro guys ) and love it to bits, but it's time to move on.
I'm a much better lurker than a poster, as I've never had a Katoom, and am here to learn.

good luck , with your new endeavor ! you won't go wrong with a KTM SM bike.I don't have any 1st hand knowledge of the v-twin bikes, but the singles, are all great. Some issues on the early 690SM, but they aren't a deal breaker IMO.If you buy new,it is a good thing to have a good dealer. I wish I had been able to keep mine. It was a matter of time before I wadded the bike, and/or myself, so I opted for a new FLHX(StreetGlide) for street riding.What a heavy pig ! But ... it sounds/looks good ! That's what its all about, right ? Or is it the alleged 40+MPG ?
