Another newbie

I've been around all kinds of racing my whole life and spend as much time in the desert, US and Baja, as I can. Rode motorcycles as a kid, 3 wheelers as a teen and then quads, but started getting back into motorcycles four years ago and bought a 2007 640 Adventure. Ride to work everyday and sometimes take the long way through the fire roads.

I just bought a 2010 450EXC Champions Edition and can't wait to get out and ride. I'm headed to Baja for the 1000 (pitting two Trophy Trucks) and then off to Ocotillo for Thanksgiving week.

Howdy neighbor!

I have a similar story to yours, got out of bikes when my
kids were young, and started back up about 6 years ago.

We just got back from a weekend in the the Chuckwalla mountains East
of the Salton Sea. What a blast!

Have fun at the 1000! I rode the 1988 Baja 500 with a few fellow privateers on
my TT600. Finished the race!
