Default ktm 380 exc stator (1999-2000)

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if a 2000 KTM380 exc stator will fit a 1999 KTM380 exc, i cannot locate a reasonably priced stator for my 1999 380 but i can find one for $50 u.s. only it suits a 2000 and they cant tell me if it will fit a 1999 or not. Also can anyone help me to locate a flywheel to suit the 1999 as the magnets have fallen out of mine, or is it possible to have these re-stuck if so who would i be best to talk to (mechanic, auto-electrician etc)

Any help here is greatly appreciated as i have not even ridden this bike yet and im chomping at the bit to get out there.

Cheers
Jason.

On the USA models using the Kokusan stator, the stator is the same
in 1999 as 2000.

If it uses this:

50339004100 STATOR KOKUSAN 2K-2 (USA)

If you have the SEM ignition you are out of luck.

Default KTM 380 EXC stator (1999-2000)

:Thanks for your help agian Bajadog,

Nope its the SEM type , starting to get a little irritated with this bike, are you able to give me an idea of why the SEM type is different to the KOKUSAN type, if i need to change other parts to use the KOKUSAN instead thats not a drama because i have heard the SEM type are garbage anyway and i have to replace the flywheel to as the magnets have come out of mine, pretty sure this is the reason the stator is stuffed in the first place.......ahhhhh think i just figured it out, i would probably have to change the CDi unit wouldn't i???

Many thanks again for your help, the only solutions i have found so far are going to cost quite a bit of money.

Jason

You are right, I think you need to keep brands the same which would mean you would have to keep ALL components alike.
