Default Finally a groups of riders that know what an RC8 is ...

... Excited to be part of the forum ! I picked up a 2010 RC8R Red Bull 6 of 25 end of last year, looking to make some changes this year as I could not resist putting her on the track (rightfully where she belongs).

She came with a club race kit, but I've only installed the Akra full titanium exhaust and high flow air filter (not interested in tearing down the motor). I'm looking at the SLS eliminator, but not sure about the impact. I do not have a KTM dealer near me to remap ECU, so I shopped and found Bazzaz Z-fi and AFM which I recently installed. I'm fairly new to bikes and never used anything like this, but I've read great reviews ... I'm scheduled for a dyno tune next week to make sure I get things right.

Recently ordered Catalyst Composites race fairings to keep my Red Bull plastics safe, installing R&G protection today including L & R case, fork and swingarm sliders. I got the aero frame sliders and man are they BEEFY ! Pictures online are deceiving, these things are CHUNKY ! High quality and require a smaller 28mm hole in the fairings for install (hate this idea of cutting holes but these are located in the perfect location) ... have not done this yet as I am waiting for the race fairings, it would be a sin to cut into the Red Bull plastics !

That R&G tidy tail fender eliminator kit is nice, just wish the signal lights were LED just like the license plate lights ... no matter as I think I make her a track bike for the season.

I also got a set of MotoCinch transport tie downs and they are slick for the price ! No more straps !!! Seriously think everyone should check these out, I chose to use a wheel chock for extra support and these things are a "Cinch" to install and use !

Well, sorry for the long winded intro, I'll be taking her to Mid-Ohio on June 1st for KTM Race Orange day so the KTM techs can help me setup suspension, get the tires scrubbed in and try the Bazzaz self mapping for the first time !

Looking forward to connecting with fellow RC8r's in the USA !

Cheers,
DP
