New member from North texas

Hello, I just bought a used 2001 LC-4 400. I believe I got a good deal on it. It only had 38 miles on it when I bought it. Looks virtually new. I plan on using the bike to go to work on during the week, and some adventure treking on the weekends. We go to Colorado a couple times a year fly fishing and will take it along to get into the back country to some hard to reach streams. I plan on rigging it up with top bag and saddle bags for sure. I am having some idle issues that I'll post up in the technical section to see if anyone can help or point me to a good mechanic in the North Texas area. Main thing is to get it dependable so I dont have to worry about it crapin out on me 300 miles from home.

You got a nice bike there.

I have the 2002 640e. I think it's been a VERY
dependable bike. I have 9000 miles (70% dirt, 30% street).

Use only good synthetic oil, and keep the air filter clean, and she
will do fine.

Thanks. The previous owner said it sat up for 8 years while he worked over seas. I just need to get past this idle issue and I think I'll be good to go.
