Default New 12' KTM 350 EXC-F Owner and Member

I just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Dan, I am 30 years old and just can't seem to grow up! My main hobby is racing street bikes, however I am now really pumped about driving on the road to the dirt!

I picked up my 350 EXC this past Saturday and went out for a 60 mile tour on Sunday. I have to say this is one of the most balanced well mannered dirt bikes I have ever owned.

I really look forward to being a part of this forum, and fully realize how valuable of an asset it will be.

Now here she is:

Thanks a lot!

Hi and welcome Dan.

Nice looking KTM.

Is that 350 plated from the factory?

Yes Sir! Picked it up on Saturday, and was able to ride Sunday and Monday so far. 150 miles in two days. This thing is razor sharp in the tight trails. Suspension is a little tight from the facotry and def needs to be tweaked. The motor is strong and super smooth. However, the emissions junk is making for a finicky idle and bottom end at times. And the bike does not like the real slow stuff. I think I may need to add a fan because a few times it got real hot and was blowing off steam.

Try engine ice in the radiator first. Also if you are running stock jetting or
FI mapping, it's probably VERY lean, which explains running hot.

I know Kalifornia does not offer the EXC 350 in a dual sport model. Lucky..

Yes everything on it is bone stock, except for unscrewing the spark arrestor. I will have to look into remapping the FI, and I will get the engine ice today. I can't wait to get back on the trail but with the weather here and it being hunting season it is hard to make it happen. I am sorry to hear that cali doesn't offer this bike. I thought NY and Cali were equally terrible when it came to emissions.
